Do you believe that God is generous?

Do you believe he has more than you can ever ask for?

Do you believe he has your best interest in mind?

The Bible portrays God as generous, and for years, I struggled to believe that. As I reflected on this, I remembered that my struggles with money, debt and unhealthy spending patterns were often shaped by the greedy patterns of this world. Soon, the good news of the Bible got blurry.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to return to the biblical promises rooted in the generosity of a God who loves to bless us. When this truth takes root, we are set free from the love of money and all the lies of a greedy world.

Our prayer is that you would come ready to learn and to embrace the generosity of God’s ways and his loving invitation to become as generous as well. This, we know, pleases God. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
