Dear Family and Friends of the180,
As we prepare to step into the beauty of the Christmas season, I find myself overwhelmingly grateful. Grateful that again, this year, God has shown us that he is Emmanuel:God with us. Those who believe this long to be part of a church that shines in real and tangible ways (Matthew 5:14).
This year, I’ve watched you love people deeply, welcome newcomers with sincerity, and serve our city with compassion. I’ve seen prayers answered, faith renewed, and people take steps toward Jesus because of the community you’ve helped create. These aren’t just “church activities.” They are signs of God at work among us (Galatians 6:9).
Your generosity has made a difference far beyond what most people ever see. Because of your giving, we’ve been able to:
• Respond to painful challenges to help support families in crisis;
• Walk with people taking their first steps of faith. and sensing God calling them back to faith in Jesus;
• Invest in the next generation, now described as the most open to faith conversations;
• Strengthen ministries that bring hope, healing, and care for the less fortunate; and
• For the first time, add a third gathering to welcome friends and family this Christmas.
As we approach year end, our finance team is still tracking lower giving patterns than previous years. Please know that every gift, big or small, helps us move the mission forward. This year, would you pray and consider giving sacrificially as we dream, prepare, and invest in the future God is preparing for us (Ephesians 2:10).
I want to encourage you that our staff is already preparing for the new year: new learning opportunities, new ministry initiatives, so that more lives can be impacted with the hope Jesus provides to those committed to be His hands and feet in this world.
On behalf of our elders, leaders and staff, thank you for the way you love, the way you give, and the way you embody the heart of Jesus.
With joy,
Pastor Domenic Ruso, PhD Founding, Lead Pastor
